X Oloroso Barrel

Filled at the same time as batch 8. The Oloroso influence of the barrel is lighter and more delicate, combined with the earthy tobacco rum, a beautiful balance with a delightful finish. A moderate 12.5% angel share

Tasting notes:

  • Nose: Brown sugar, Citrus, Dried figs, Gingerbread
  • Palate: Lots of candied, buttery syrup and almonds at the start, then opens right up to roasted coffee, tobacco, and a Medicinal finish with a hint of Clove spice
  • Mouthfeel: Silky and oily.
  • Method: Double Pot Distilled
  • Yeast: Wild Muck & Ale Yeast
  • Maturation: 4yrs 6 months
  • Barrel: European and Hungarian Oak & Ex Oloroso

Zero additives except reverse osmosis water to break back to bottle strength.
